#1 HONESTY
Admitting to yourself what you know to be true; even if you wish it wasn’t, it’s contradictory, or you have been hiding from the truth
Honesty is our home.
Sometimes we don’t want to know what we know. The price of knowing is transformation and change. Sometimes, we are more comfortable with familiarity than happiness. Instinctively, we know the truth can be cataclysmic. But in this practice, we admit to ourselves what we experience, even when we experience contradictory truths.
Honesty can hold it all.
First, we come home to the truth of what we experience, then we settle into the grounding power of our truth, and over time we discover we do not want to leave the truth for lies, no matter how pretty.
Systems of oppression weaponized “reality” and “truth” with narrow and exclusive definitions. But the practice of Honesty keeps us rooted in what we know to be true. Often what we know is that “it’s complicated.” Being honest about the both/and’s of life means we no longer have to fight life. We are honest that life is how it is. With no truth to fight, we can focus our energy on making the changes to life that we want.
Like a laser, our focused energy is a more powerful tool for change. With Honesty, we root into what we know is true which expands our power while increasing our groundedness.
This is an unbeatable life strategy.
