Hungry for change?
Don’t be a zombie
Systems of oppression harvest us for our aliveness.
Systemic oppression is an imbalance; too much structure, not enough aliveness. Said another way, too much masculine, yang, force, doing, mental, and not enough feminine, yin, receiving, being, spiritual/energetic.
On earth, imbalance leads to dis-ease in the ecosystem.
When structures refuse to generate their own aliveness, they must feed on the aliveness of others to survive. Oppression creates zombies. Bureaucracies, tyrants, and ravenous corporations refuse to contribute aliveness. But they insist on eating as much as they please. They take in fresh young, optomistic graduates, suck them dry and move onto the next batch of bright eyed, bushy tailed recruits.
Systems of oppression want maximum returns. They want to receive more than they give. They want to harvest more than they planted. They want to be structure (a corpse) that contributes no aliveness (a zombie) and feeds on the aliveness created by others (a zombie that eats the working class).
So today, direct your aliveness out to life.
Don’t be a zombie.
Contribute your aliveness to the vast aliveness of life.
Eat some food. Play with your adorable dog. Smile at your kids like they are lovely. Take a breath. Say something nice to someone. Share what you’ve learned. Pick up a piece of garbage. Donate to the freedom flotilla…
And follow my very intense new writing project, The Eat The Rich Cookbook: recipes of liberation.
I’m channeling wisdom from enslaved folks who freed themselves by any means necessary when their “freedom moment” came. It’s intense, y’all. I’ll be posting the chapters as they come on this new Substack since it’s a whole vibe.
