What if what hurt you, also helped you? What if you could be so liberated that anything causing you pain also caused greater liberation?
It is possible, but colonized people will tell you it’s not. They’ll tell you with rage behind their eyes that safety, wellbeing and liberation are privileges that only some people get. And they’ll tell you with jealousy behind their eyes that you don’t get to have safety, wellbeing, and liberation, because you are oppressed.
But I am here to tell you that your liberation is none of anyone else’s business.
Your liberation is about your relationship to your life and your world. No one can stop your liberation, but you.
you won’t know how to live like this, of course. The colonized people didn’t teach you. They don’t know either.
But you can learn to live in liberation.
You can escape the numbness and cruelty of oppression. You will still be interdependent with other numb and cruel humans. But you’ll decide how to respond in partnership with Life itself, which is bigger, stronger, and wealthier than oppression. If you align with Life, not with oppression, Life will show you all the doorways to ease & success, joy & wellbeing, even in an oppressive world. You can’t control everything, but you can control a lot more than oppression will admit.
You’ll have to be brave.
The whole time you are learning to align with Life, oppression will scream its scariest lies at you. Oppression will try to trick you into coming back to the safety of its familiar misery. Oppression knows which of your buttons to push to spark fear in the darkest parts of your heart. You will need some support. You won’t be able to do this one alone. Even though you’re very good at getting shit done alone. This time, you’re going to need community. None of us escape oppression alone.
Rage Camp is coming…
We will begin the practice of RAGE CAMP soon. Here, we will build a community of brave individuals who are ready to escape oppression and enter the wildness, madness, and joy of liberation. It won’t be easy, but it will be more fun and less work than staying stuck and fearful. We will do it together.
When we work together, instead of being one strand of rope that gets frayed and tense, we will be a net. Stronger and more flexible, with less pressure on each individual strand.
Escaping oppression is your Apocalypse Glowup.
You will leave the apocalypse better off than you entered it. Your imposter syndrome era is over. It’s time to level up!
