Your Beauty (is the answer)
“My beauty is to tremendous…” Alok V Menon
There is something about Truth...
The sparkle of clarity...
The brilliance of Truth
stuns my vision so completely
that sometimes
I squint or look away
But Truth feels
like beauty
even when it is painful
When I tell myself, “yes”
I honor my truth
I let you see my beauty
When you tell yourself, “yes”
you honor your truth
and let me see yours
When the shine of your truth
illuminates the darkness of my
inauthenticity
I may wish to turn off your light
To paint over you with
dark judgments
ridicule
“I’ve seen brighter. Not impressed”
Perhaps you do the same to me...
Your beauty is so tremendous
my darkness is illuminated
for all to see
and worse,
for me to see
Instead of diminishing you or looking away
when I notice the radiance of your truth embodied,
what if I simply let myself be bathed in it?
Let the warmth wash over me and soothe the cold, dark places that have yet to be reclaimed What if I let your brilliance burn through the lies that lid my eyes? What if I let myself be healed by your beauty? What if you let yourself be healed by mine? What if the fullness of our reciprocally radiating truth restores the brilliance of life itself? Then it would be true that your beauty is all it takes to heal the world It would be true for mine as well
